Get The Look- Lashes

Start by choosing the type of look you want whether it is more natural or a bit more va-va-voom! Typically, I choose something that is more natural but adds a little volume and length. My go-to lashes are the Ardell Demi Wispies in black. (Ulta, 4.99) Measure the lashes against your own lash line to determine whether you need to trim them to size by resting the strip lashes along your lash line.  The strip should start where the natural bulk of your eyelashes begins on the outer corner of your eye.

  • Trim the excess off as needed with small nail scissors.

  • Place a thin layer of glue along the strip of the lash, from corner to corner.

  • Wait a few seconds for it to go tacky before application.

It’s best to use glue that dries clear. (Ardell Duo Lash Adhesive Clear, Ulta 5.99)With your fingertips or tweezers, place the lashes over the top of your own lashes, where your natural bulk of eyelashes begin.  Look down and press the strip lash against your lash line in the center, the outer edge, and inner corner. Continue by squeezing the strip down onto your natural lashes, trying not to have a strip of skin between your lashes and the strip lashes.  The key is trying to get the strips as close to your own lash line as possible! Blend your natural lashes with the strip lashes by adding some mascara! If there is a gap showing on your eyelid between your lash line and the strip just fill it in with an eyeliner! My favorite liner is by Stila in jet black. (Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, Sephora 22.00)
