I am about to change your lives! I kept seeing things about a Jade roller and decided I needed to try one out and guys this thing is amazing!  Not only is it a little mini facial that is just all around soothing, using this little think has a lot of real benefits! Here they are: Brightens the SkinThe gentle massage motion increases circulation in the face giving you a youthful glow! Reduce eye bagsLack of sleep, hormones, eating lots of salty foods or not drinking enough water can cause puffy skin and under-eyes.  The result is that the soft tissue around the eyes collect fluids. Using the smaller end of the roller helps to massage out the fluid and soothe the puffiness. Relax facial musclesOur facial muscles naturally store a lot of tension, which can lead to wrinkles and fine lines.  Using the roller can help smooth out the kinks so you're not just immediately giving your skin a boost but also help preventing wrinkles down the line. Here’s how to use it:Before you start make sure your face is clean. The massaging motion will help any product on your skin sink in deeper and the same is true for old makeup and dirt. So before you even think about picking up the jade roller, wash your face. While there is no right or wrong place to start, do make sure you are rolling from the center out! Here are some tips.

  • Apply gentle pressure while rolling the tool from the center of your face in upward and outward motions.

  • Start with the bottom of the face—specifically the center of the chin—and work your way up, rolling outward across the jaw and up toward the ear. Follow this same pattern all the way out towards the cheek.

  • Next, start adjacent to the nose and roll outward over your cheek towards your ears.

  • Using the smaller stone end of your jade roller, work from the inner lower eyelid over the gentle skin under the eye and outward to the temple.

  • Place the roller between your eyebrows and roll out over each eyebrow, again slightly above this area, then straight up towards the hairline.

The whole process should take two to four minutes, depending on how many passes you’re doing and how many areas of the face you’re hitting. As you’re working the jade roller, you’ll see your skin start to flush — this is a good thing! It means circulation is increasing. When to use it:If you’re going to roll in the morning to decrease any I-barely-slept-last-night puffiness, consider popping your jade roller in the fridge overnight. The cool jade will lower swelling by shrinking blood vessels. It also just feels really amazing on tired skin.Rolling at night? Go through your standard cleansing routine to remove all traces of the day and apply any serums and/or oils you like before bed. After giving them a minute to sink in, roll away. The jade roller will help skin drink them up before they have time to evaporate or rub off on your pillow.Clean that roller!Cleaning your jade roller with warm, soapy water. It touches your face every single day so don’t be disgusting! Here are a few links to a few that I've found, including the one I use:[wc_row][wc_column size="one-third" position="first"]
