I think every woman dreams about their wedding day most of their lives. You watch the Cinderella story and imagine your day being perfection. As a hair and makeup artist team, our job is to make you feel and look absolutely stunning. We want your man to cry when you walk down the aisle.We have a trial run with our brides typically 2-3 months prior to their weddings to give us the opportunity to not only get to know you and your fabulous love story, but also to create together that awe inspiring look. Often we will have brides come to us without a vision of how they want to look and let me just say-absolutely not, hell no and please don’t…Our consultations are when we get to meet you for the very first time. We have no idea if you are very natural and feel like a drag queen if someone even looks at you with a mascara wand or if you are a makeup lover whose feelings about makeup are the more the merrier and “get my hair closer to God.” And so in preparation for your consultation/trial run here are a few tips that will help you determine the stunning look you are wanting for your big day and in turn help us create it! Wedding Day Vibe:By the time you have met with our artists you will have probably determined the vibe you are going for with your wedding. Is it Boho Chic? Black Tie Classic? This will then help determine the look for your hair and makeup to match that style! For example, if you are having a classic formal wedding maybe it’s not a good idea to have beach waves with a large flower crown but something more clean and sleek like a low clean bun with a classy embellished hair clip.[wc_row][wc_column size="one-half" position="first"][/wc_column][wc_column size="one-half" position="last"][/wc_column][/wc_row]Time of Day:Think about when your ceremony and reception are to help you determine the look you are going for. If it is an afternoon ceremony and early evening reception maybe don’t do a dark smokey eye but something more natural and clean. If your event is in the evening you could go more dramatic with your look. Color Palette:Considering the colors you are using for your wedding can really help determine your makeup look as well-who knew! So if you are doing blush colors for your bridesmaids and florals maybe don’t do a bright red lipstick or dark smokey eyes but lean more towards a more natural look with browns and golds paired with a neutral rosy colored lip! Details on your gown:When thinking about how to wear your hair for your wedding day think about your gown. Does it have incredible details on the back that you want to show off by having your hair up? Is it strapless and sexy and you want to wear your hair maybe loose and half up? Think about what style would fit best with your gown as well. For example, if it is very clean and classic consider a clean and classic hairstyle like a chignon or French twist.
