Golden Girl Glow
One of this season’s trends is a fresh glowing complexion. Layering an illuminator and highlighter onto the high points of the face to create a beautiful radiance look that is soft and simple but stunning!
Start by prepping the face with a primer like one of my favorites by Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter ($38.00, Sephora).
While your primer is settling I decided to do a very natural eyeshadow look using a fusion of gold and burnt orange hues all of the lid. A beautiful palette for this look is Tarte’s In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette ($46.00, Sephora).
To add definition to the eyes use a touch of soft brown liner smudged with chocolate brown shadow. I recommend Tom Ford Kohl Eyeliner ($36.00, Sephora).
To give an all over soft glow add a few drops of liquid highlighter to your favorite liquid foundation. I’m obsessed with Makeup Revolution’s Liquid highlighter ($9.00, Ulta) which I mix with my favorite foundation by Makeup Forever, then I gently blend it in all over my face with my fingertips or a Beauty Blender.
Give your cheeks a little color with one of my new found favorites by Nars’ Liquid Blush. Add a drop to the cheeks and lightly blend in a circular motion and upward with your fingertips ($30.00, Nordstrom).
Now for the fabulous highlight, I mixed one of my favorite bronzers with a hint of pearlescent highlighter from the cheekbone to your hairline help create a lit from within glow. I used Lorac TANtalizer Bronzing Powder ($32.00, Ulta) and Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo ($30.00, Sephora).
You can layer this look with more highlighter or one of this year’s trends is to add a little bit of gold to the cheekbones, I recommend Fenty Beauty, Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter ($34.00, Sephora).
For the final touch I applied a soft-pink lipstick and translucent lip gloss like MAC’s Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup ($17.50. Nordstrom).
